o Building infrastructure to support the needs of the current housing. Traffic is already
an issue. Any improvements needed to support any new developments should be paid
in part, if not all , by the developers. Send current residents "the plan" for Ramsey.
What is the benefit of the additional housing to the residents? Our taxes keep going
up to pay for this new development. What will be the benefit of the town center to
the residents? I am concerned the North Star system and the rental housing may
bring many unwanted issues.
o Stop building townhomes & rental housing. If it is to cheap it will overrun with crap
& welfare cases from downtown. More middle class & upper-class single family
homes.
o Implement the 4 houses in 10 acre provision. We've lost slight of what Ramsey is all
about. Develop the downtown center but leave and preserve the rest of Ramsey so
that it can remain rural. Wildlife is being pushed out, trees are being destroyed and
houses are being put too close. Somehow, we need to slow down the growth. I really
doubt that we're going to see tax relief for the citizens of Ramsey. there is a reason
that all this development has occurred. It's money and I doubt we'll see it as
taxpayers.
o #1,5, 7, 10 & 11 Is there a.need? In order to build more housing for seniors, housing
for the disabled & affordable housing - Ramsey needs more services. Low income,
seniors on fixed incomes & the disabled need transportation, hospitals, clinics close
by, etc. First Ramsey will need to supply the services then the housing. these people
would need more than the Ramsey Star Express & North Star Commuter Rail.
o I have a hard time with this because on one hand I understand the importance of
productive & positive growth. On the other hand we moved here to get away from
that. It is hard to see all the construction for "mass-produced" townhomes. It seems
we are losing that rural suburbia feel.
o Too many rentals means people who may not be committed to the community. Home
ownership means you have people who want to be here, see the community as
desirable & want to make an investment here. We need to maintain the "rural"
feeling that we felt when we moved here.
o Continue to build more housing in City of Ramsey. Include any empty lot that owner
is willing to sell or put a home on.
o Development of senior housing. Ramblers for accessibility. More jobs, etc.
o Maintain existing, older neighborhoods as is. Put high density housing in the same
area.
o In my opinion, Ramsey is no longerthe rural community we moved here to enjoy.
Furthermore, I don't think my opinion means anything to anyone that will ever read it.
This is proven to me by any televised council meeting I have ever viewed.
o Slow down urban sprawl.
o No urgent needs.
o Keep it rural - that is why most of us moved out here.
o I am not aware of any urgent housing needs. I would think that there would not be a
great need for low cost rentals as people can rent anywhere and probably somewhere
with an easier commute to work. Also, consider enforcing rules regarding visible
junk in the yards of homeowners. Please! I do not want my home's value lowered
because of surrounding homes.

9
