together. It does bring property values down. We need rental housing, but in my
opinion it should be built more by the new down town. We also need more
townhomes and mid priced homes in the City of Ramsey. We need them built were
they don't hurt the value of existing homes in an established neighborhood. The
Zoning Commission is trying to build a beautiful city and I am all for it, but watch
what your building next to - keep it comparable to what is next door.
o A fence along Highway 5 by the water tower all the way to the school. Keep taxes
down.
o Better, more appropriate roadway infrastructure before increasing population density!
o I don't have one. Transportation (Roads) & commute through Ramsey should be a
huge concern before you start building all this great housing!
o Too many empty units, slow growth, don't bring in low cost housing, it lowers
everyone's property values. If you can't afford it don't buy it, go someplace else.
o Plan for increases in traffic before building more homes!
o Nothing - Hwy 10 is bad enough, work on traffic problems before they get worse with
more people moving in!
o Do not encourage low income housing or rental property. That will be the beginning
of the downfall of a good clean family oriented city.
o Senior housing, they don't cause trouble, vandalize, are quite, don't need schools.
Also Ramsey is supposed to be rural, we don't need low cost housing or any more
rentals, we all know this kills a community, but you will do it anyway.
o Ramsey must make sure that all homes and yards are maintained. Also, people are
not allowed to run businesses out of their homes. If affects everybody's property
value.
o To stop/slow the growth of all building in Ramsey. I moved to Ramsey to get into the
country! I do notlike the look of the townhomes that have been built at 47 and
Sunwood it detracts the look of the neighborhood. Not one person that I know of
who lives in Ramsey is in favor of the Town Center (50 or more people). Why is it
being built? Stop the growth!
o Affordable Senior non-rental townhomes and condominiums.
o There are too many townhouses being built in the same area. This growth needs to
slow'down. There should be better control over the appearance of these townhomes.
Hwy 47 is starting to look like a slum with its great wall, fences knocked down &
leaning. I have to wonder who approved the institutionallooking townhomes on
Alpine. They are an eye sore & don't make you proud of living here. take your time
when deciding on proposals. Ramsey is a beautiful city that could easily be ruined.
o Making sure that housing units through out the city are kept up and well maintained.
Sunwood & 47 housing units are not being well maintained in my opinion. Grass is
always long and full of weeds. Too much on the patio decks.
o To not allow an over abundance of new developments to occur at the same time.
There are a number ofprojects going on and a surplus of new homes on the market.
This hurts existing residents (tax payers) in trying to sell lived in homes. I also
believe a focus on upper scale - large lot developments should be encouraged. Every
project going in now is cluster or high density. I don't want this community
becoming a Brooklyn Center - just because developers are trying to capture more

6
