Bolton & Menk, Inc. has the technical <br />expertise, experience and resources to complete this project for the Cities and we appreciate your <br />consideration. <br />In accordance with your request, we are pleased to present you with this proposal to provide engineering <br />services to the Cities of Ramsey, Minnesota and St. Francis, Minnesota for investigating regional water • <br />supply at,d treatment solutions. Based on our discussions, the project will consist of the following major <br />components: <br />• Consideration of the existing water systems for the Cities of Ramsey, Minnesota and St. Francis, <br />Minnesota. <br />• Consideration of water quality of the existing water supply and associated treatment <br />requirements. <br />• Consideration, of the water supply needs for the Cities of Ramsey, Minnesota and St. Francis, <br />Minnesota. <br />• Identify potential water supply sources. <br />• Summarize necessary treatment and infrastructure needs to provide water as a regional resource <br />to the Cities of Ramsey, Minnesota and St. Francis, Minnesota and associated improvements <br />schedule. <br />• Analysis of system interaction due varying supply sources and system conditions. <br />• Provide a written report summarizing the above information including a cost estimate for the <br />preferred alternative and identification of potential funding sources. <br />We have identified two work tasks necessary to complete the major work components described above. <br />A summary of each task, is described below. <br />Task 1 — Preliminary Phase <br />■ Kickoff meeting • <br />■ Identify necessary information <br />■ identify potential solutions <br />MANKATO, MN • FAIRMONT, MN • SLEEPY EYE, MN • BURNSVILLE, MN • CHASKA, MN <br />WILLMAR, MN • RAMSEY, MN • AMES, IA <br />-156- www.bolton- menk.com <br />An Equal Opportunity Employer <br />
