With 493 fire permits issued in 2006 <br />compared to 136 in 2005. It should be noted that each permit for new <br />construction requires three separate inspections. <br />There were also 292 existing building inspections conducted in 2006. <br />Ramsey hosted its largest Safety Camp in history with 144 kids attending the two <br />days and over 500 attending the graduation ceremony. <br />During Fire Prevention Week over 2500 children were visited either at schools, <br />daycares or fire station visits. <br />—4— <br />
