The second looping would consist of the 153rd Avenue/T.H. <br />#47 looping from the eastern terminus in Brandseth to the northern terminus in Willow Ridge]); <br />3) Sanitary Sewer Extension (extend sanitary sewer from its current terminus in River's Bend <br />4th Addition across T.H. #47 to the Lord of Life property); 4) Storm Water Project (There are <br />two separate projects. The first would involve approximately 690 feet of 15" storm pipe <br />overflowing Wetland #665W [the Lord of Life wetland] to Wetland 680W on the east side of <br />T.H. #47 which has an outlet to the Rum River. The second project is centered around the <br />wetland systems in the vicinity of 149th Avenue.); 5) Redevelopment of Katnis Property (the <br />improvements would include the extension of 600 feet of roadway and associated sanitary sewer, <br />watermain, and storm sewer to the Lord of Life property). <br /> <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen wanted to make certain that the completion of Sunwood Drive <br />from C.R. #5 to Industry is in the draft Capital Improvements Program. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowski reported that staff and the Road and Bridge Committee are recommending <br />contracting with SRF for professional services associated with plan preparation, specifications, <br />permits, public hearings, and all activities which would take the project up to the beginning of <br />construction. A second part of the proposal estimates the remaining professional service through <br />construction to project completion. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to authorize <br />entering into the contract with SRF Inc., for professional services to pursue the T.H. #47 project <br />up to and including bidding. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: CouncilmemberBeahen. <br /> <br />Case #10: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />1) Recommend Hiring Laurie Swadner as Public Safety Aide <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Haas Steffen to hire Laurie <br />Swadner at a salary of $10.44 per hour to fill the part-time Public Safety Aide position, <br />contingent upon successful completion of a physical examination and background checks. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beyer, Haas Steffen and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberZimmerman. <br /> <br />2) Receive Recommendation for Planning Commission Appointments <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Mayor Gamec to appoint Joe Wivoda to the <br />Planning Commission to a term to expire December 31, 2001. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
