It was noted that this issue would be discussed during the fifth phase also. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Bcahen to <br />adopt Resolution #98-05-088 to grant final plat approval to Apple Ridge 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Terry Svare, 6015 ~ 158th Lane NW, stated it appears there are 142 <br />homes going into Apple Ridge. Ms. Frolik responded that it is 127 homes, which is the <br />number that was approved in the preliminary plat. Ms. Svare stated that her second <br />concern is that 157th Lane has the potential to become a race track. She wondered if the <br />new 157th goes out onto T.H. #47. Ms. Frolik responded that it does. Ms. Svare felt that <br />there is still a race trace and that is a safety issue and for a year and a half, residents have <br />been asking Council to address these safety issues. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: Councilmember Beyer. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Request for Final Plat Approval of Apple Ridge 3rd Addition; Case of <br />Oakwood land Development, Inc. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik explained that the 3rd addition of Apple Ridge consists of <br />24 lots which is in accordance with the preliminary plat. Access to this phase will also be <br />from T.H. #47, which is intended to be in place until north/south streets within the plats <br />are extended outside the plat to funnel traffic north to 160th or south to 156th. The lots <br />are proposed to be served by the westerly extension of 158th Avenue and 158th Lane and <br />the northerly extension of Neon Street. All of the lots exceed the 10,800 foot minimum <br />area requirement and the standard drainage and utility easements have been provided <br />around the perimeter of the lots.
