Voting No: None. <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />Consider Proposal for Engineering Services for Improvement Project #98-18 <br />(Business Park 95 Fifth Addition) <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that Business Park 95 Fifth Addition was tentatively <br />scheduled for 1999. However, Lot 1, which is located on the southeast comer of <br />Uranium Street and 139th Avenue, has been committed to A & R Manufacturing who are <br />interested in constructing an 11,000 square foot facility and would like to have their <br />access to 139th Avenue by December 1998. Mr. Norman noted a proposal from <br />Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. to provide the necessary design and inspection <br />services. The Road and Bridge Committee recommended retaining Hakanson Anderson <br />to prepare the plans and specifications for this project. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to <br />retain Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. to prepare plans and specifications for <br />Improvement Project #98-18 (Business Park 95 Fifth Addition) in accordance with their <br />June 10, 1998, proposal in an amount not to exceed $7,900. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Haas Steffen noted there was no funding source <br />identified for this project and asked that staff come back with a report as to what the <br />source will be. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beyer, <br />Beahen and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #14: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manager Waite Smith reported that the Personnel Committee <br />met earlier this evening. Following are the issues they dealt with. <br /> <br />1) Recommend Appointment of Diana J. Lund as Finance Officer <br /> <br />Ms. Waite Smith reported that the Personnel Committee is recommending Diana Lund be <br />appointed as Finance Officer, effective June 24, 1998, at an annual salary of $52,500. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to adopt <br />Resolution #98-06-137 appointing Diana J. Lund Finance Officer, effective June 24, <br />1998, subject to a one-year probationary period with performance reviews at six and <br />twelve months, at $52,500 annual salary and three weeks of vacation. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
