Mr. Gruber stated that since they did deed that land to the City, plus went above and
beyond what they had to do, that they were hoping for a very liberal agreement with the
City. He really thought the City would not have a problem with the sign as they agree to
move it at their expense when the property is needed for the road. He realized $10 a year
did not sound like much, but felt that it could have been even a more reasonable rate.

Motion by Mayor Gamec and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to authorize the
Mayor and City Administrator to enter into a lease agreement for $10 a year with The
Diamonds and that at the request of the City, the sign must be moved within 90 days, at
the owners expense, for future development or right-of-way.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman and Beahen.
Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmembers Beyer and Haas Steffen.

Case #7:

Consider Ordinances to Change Street Names in Apple Ridge and
Regency Pond 3rd Addition

Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that that Mr. Bill Pritchard, representing U.S. Home
Corporation was running into a marketability problem with the northerly street named
Junkite Court - it created an image problem. He requested Council rename the street and
Council asked that staff draft an ordinance to consider this. She explained that the City
does not want to set a precedence of deviating form the grid system, however, Junkite
Court is so close in proximity to the Krypton grid line, that Junkite Court could be
renamed Krypton Court. There are no residents on the subject street at this time that
would be impacted by the street name change.

Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to
introduce an ordinance changing Junkite Court NW to Krypton Court NW in the plat of
Apple Ridge.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beahen and Zimmerman.
Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmembers Beyer and Haas Steffen.

Ms. Frolik stated that the plat of Regency Pond 3rd Addition was recorded at the County
approximately two weeks ago. One of the streets in the plat was erroneously identified as
149th Lane and it should be 148th Lane. She noted there are no residents on that street
yet either.

Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to
introduce an ordinance changing the name of 149th Lane NW to 148th Lane NW in the
plat of Regency Pond 3rd Addition.

Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beahen and Zimmerman.
Voting No: None.
