<br />a. Consists only of individual, outlined alphabetic, numeric, and/or <br />symbolic characters without background except provided by the <br />building surface to which the sign is to be affixed; and <br /> <br />b; Any illumination, if any, is achieved through shielded illumination, <br />shielded silhouette lighting, or shielded spot lighting but not any <br />lighting where the light source is visible or exposed on the face or <br />sides of the characters. <br /> <br />Subd. 2. Ground Signs. There shall not be more than one (1) <br />ground sign for each parcel. The gross surface area of a ground sign shall not exceed one . <br />hundred (100) square feet for each exposed face nor exceed an aggregate gross surface <br />area of two hu~dred (200) square feet. <br /> <br />Subd. 3. <br /> <br />Directional Signs <br /> <br />a. Directional or instructional signs -are permitted in accordance with <br />~9.12.03 subd. 9. <br /> <br />b. Parking lot directional signs designating parking area entrances and <br />exits are limited to one (1) sign for each. entrance and! or exit and <br />shall not exceed four (4) square feet for each exposed face. Parking <br />lot directional signs shall not project higher than five (5) feet in <br />height, as measured from the "established grade of the parking area to <br />which such signs are accessory. <br /> <br />c. Parking lot instructional signs designating the conditions of use or <br />identification of parking areas shall not exceed eight (8) square feet <br />and shall not project higher than ten (10) feet in height for wall signs _ <br />and seven (7) feet in height for ground signs, as measured from the <br />established grade of the parking area(s) to which such signs are <br />accessory. <br /> <br />Subd. 4. Window Signs. Window signs shall not exceed thirty <br />percent (30%) of the area of the window in whi~h the sign is proposed to be displayed.. <br /> <br />9.12.10 <br /> <br />Business and Industrial Park Signs <br /> <br />Subdivision 1. _ Park Identification Signs. Industrial or business <br />park signs shall be permitted to contain the following information: the name and address <br />of the park, the management or the developer thereof, and the names of the individual <br />businesses located within said park. Park identification signs shall contain no adverti~sing <br />material of any kind, and shall be subject to the following: <br /> <br />a. All industrial and business park signs shall be ground or wall signs; <br />
