<br />FACILITY USE AND RENTAL POLICY <br />MUNICIPAL CENTERlP ARK CENTER <br /> <br />The purpose of this policy is to provide written guidelines in conjunction with the use and <br />rental of the Municipal Center and Park Center. This policy ~;uper~;edes Resolution H88 <br />19 adopted March 22, 1988. <br /> <br />The Ramsey Municipal Center houses the administrative and police functions of the City <br />of Ramsey. Additionally, the Municipal Center serves as a location for various public <br />meetings of the City Council, Council Committees/Boards and other governmental <br />bodies. Regular meetings of the City Council are held at the Municipal Center on the 2nd <br />and 4th Tuesdays in the Council Chambers and work sessions are held on the 1st, 3rd and <br />5th Tuesdays in the Alexander Ramsey Room. <br /> <br />With the Ramsey Municipal Center, the following room may be available for public use <br />in accordance '.vith this policyThe following rooms may be available for public use in the <br />Ramsey Mlmicipal Center: <br /> <br />Alexander Ramsey Room Capacity 274 (standing) 100 (seated) <br />**Please note that the Alexander Ramsey Room also serves as the City's official <br />Emergency Operations Center (EOC)-in the case that the EOC is in operation, <br />outside use of the room will not be available. <br />Mississippi River Room Capacity 10 <br />Rum River Room Capacity 10 <br />Trott Brook Room Capacity 10 <br />Lake Itasca Room Capacity 10 <br /> <br />The Park Center has available for public use in accordance with this policy, one large <br />common area that accommodates a capacity of74 persons. <br /> <br />The need to conduct City business takes precedence over any reservation, paid or unpaid. <br />Paid reservations will be rescheduled if possible or refunded if City business replaces the <br />community organization or business reservation. City facilities may be reserved by not- <br />for-profit organizations or initiatives and by Ramsey for-profit businesses for business <br />meetings. For-profit use of the facility can not involve the sale of goods or use that <br />exceeds four (4) reservations per year. The for-profit organization must have completed <br />their BRC registration for the current year to be eligible to rent space in the facility. <br /> <br />PRIORITY OF USE <br /> <br />The priority of use of these facilities is as follows: <br /> <br />1) Governmental functions: <br />a) Offices and City Council <br />b) Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment <br />c) All Other Commissions <br />
