Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to adopt Resolution <br />303-05-111 appointing Mr. Joe Riddle to the Public Safety Board and establishing term <br />expiration dates for sitting Board members. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Kurak, Pearson, Cook, Elvig, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />2) Consider Appointment of CBIZ as Agent of Record for Health Insurance Service <br /> and Terminate Agent of Record Relationship with TC Field for Health Insurance <br />The Personnel Committee recommended that the City Council appoint CBIZ Benefits & <br />Insurance Services, Inc. as the City's agent of record for health and related employee benefits and <br />to terminate the agent of record relationship with TC Field relative to health insurance benefits <br />effective immediately. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired as to how staff was made aware of the services provided <br />by CBIZ. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson explained that last September staff began looking for other <br />options and CBIZ is a company that works with a number of different cities, as well as a number <br />of school districts. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to adopt Resolution #03- <br />05~112 appointing CBIZ Benefits & Insurance Services, Inc. as the City's agent of record for <br />health and related employee benefits and terminating Agent of Record relationship with T.C. <br />Field for health insurance and related benefits. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Kurak, Cook, Elvig, Pearson, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />3) Accept Resignation of Patrol Officer and Authorize Hire of Patrol Officer <br />The Personnel Committee recommended that the City Council accept Greg Sullivan's resignation <br />from his position as Patrol Officer with the City of Ramsey and to hire Ryan Law as a Patrol <br />Officer at an annual salary of $42,555 contingent upon a satisfactory pre-employment physical <br />and drug/alcohol screen. Mr. Law would begin employment with the City on or near May 19, <br />2003. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to adopt Resolution #03- <br />05-113 accepting resignation of Patrol Officer and authorizing hiring of Patrol Officer. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Kurak, Elvig, Cook, Pearson, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman.
