-52- <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that the liaison members are not voting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig stated that he would agree that seven is a more workable size group. <br /> <br />Consensus was to keep the members at seven for the Town Center Task Force. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig stated that he felt it was ~/ery important to 'have a liaison from the City <br />Council on the Task Force. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak inquired if they were to eliminate the liaisons from Planning and EDA <br />how many members would be on the Task Force. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied that there would be five members with the new <br />appointments. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig stated that he was comfortable with having one liaison from the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that if the liaisons do not vote, then he does not see a <br />problem with having them. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that .the Planning Commission is a very important part of the process and <br />Eric Watson currently serves on the Planning Commission and Town Center Task Force so he <br />felt that was adequate. <br /> <br />Motion bY Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by.Councilmember Elvig, to recommend that <br />the City Council adopt the resolution appointing Mary Jo Olson, Will ThomPsen, and Steve Sis <br />to the Ramsey Town Center Task Force. <br /> <br />Further discussion: CoUncilmember Kurak inquired as to when ihey were going to discuss the <br />issue further. City Administrator Norman replied that he Will add it to the next Personnel <br />Committee meeting agenda. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Elvig, COok, Kurak, <br />Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #6: Appoint Liaison to the Environmental Policy Task Force <br /> <br />Interim Human Resources Manager Boganey stated that the City Council established a Task <br />Force to develop a Tree Ordinance and other charges as assigned. This Committee included a <br />member of the Park Commission, that being Todd Cook. At this time, Mr. Cook is serving on <br />the City Council, and the Committee has asked the Park CommisSion to recommend a <br />replacement to continue the Task Force's efforts.
