PC CASE <br /> <br /> REQUEST TO END PROBATIONARY PERIOD FOR FULL-TIME <br /> ASSISTANT CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br /> By: James E. Norman, City Administrator <br />Background: <br /> <br />At their regular meeting of January 8, 2002, City Council approved the hiring of Heidi <br />Nelson to the position of full-time Assistant City Administrator 'effective February 19, <br />2002. A performance appraisal has been completed and Ms. Nelson has successfully <br />completed this probationary period in an exemplary manner. It should be noted that <br />during Ms. Nelson's first year, she received recognition from the Minnesota Association <br />of Urban management Assistants as "Assistant of the Year". <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the probationary period be ended for full-time Assistant City <br />Administrator, Heidi Nelson effective February 19, 2003. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend that City Council authorize a resolution ending the PrObationary <br />period for full-time Assistant City Administrator, Heidi Nelson, effective February 19, <br />2003. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt ResolutiOn #03-02-XXX ending the probationary period for full-time <br />Assistant City Administrator, Heidi Nelson, effective February 19, 2003. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />PC: 02/25/03 <br /> <br />-269- <br /> <br /> <br />
