CASE # 16
CONSIDER UTILITY EASEMENT FROM VILLAGE BANK
By: Leonard Linton, Civil Engineer II
Background:
Holiday Station Stores has received final plat approval to construct a new store in the
southeast corner of Highway 10 and Ramsey Boulevard. Sanitary sewer was installed in
Riverdale Drive when it was constructed; however, the manhole nearest to this site is
located south of Village Bank. The options for extending sewer service included placing
the line in Riverdale Drive which would have required closing the road or placing the
sanitary sewer line in the boulevard. The second option was chosen to minimize the
disruption to traffic on Riverdale Drive. This requires obtaining a utility easement from
Village Bank for connection of the sewer line. The easement has been obtained and is
attached for review.
Funding Source:
Holiday Station Stores will install the sanitary sewer line in the easement. They will also
record this easement and the maintenance agreement.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends approval of the utility easement with Village Bank.
Action:
Motion to approve the utility easement with Village Bank.
Reviewed By:
Director of Public Works/ Principal City Engineer
CC: 06/12/07
-353-
