<br />Community News <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Fourth Annual Anoka <br />Heritage Home and <br />Garden Tour <br /> <br />On Sunday, July 15, the Anoka County Historical <br />Society and the Anoka Heritage Preservation Commission <br />will partner for the fourth annual Anoka Heritage Home <br />and Garden Tour. In celebration of the county's sesqui- <br />centennial, this year's tour will focus on the entire county, <br />especially the Mississippi River valley as it winds through <br />Coon Rapids and Columbia Heights. Tickets can be pur- <br />chased for $12 at the Anoka County History Center and Li- <br />brary, 2135 Third Avenue North, Anoka, or at Riverfest on <br />July 14. Advance ticl(ets are on sale now, and the public is <br />invited to call 763-421-0600 for more information. <br />Because the tour sites are more distant from one <br />another than they have been in the past, the hours have <br />been expanded. Ticket holders can tour historic homes and <br />businesses between 11 :OOam and 5 :OOpm. Once again, <br />local businesses on the tour are providing door prizes for a <br />drawing, but visitors must checl( each business to find out <br />if theirs is the winning ticl(et! <br /> <br />Ghosts of Anoka Tours <br /> <br />The very popular "Ghosts of Anoka" tour is back. <br />These tours are available on the first and third Thursday <br />and Saturday of each month at 7:30 pm. This walking <br />tour of downtown Anoka is offered by the Anoka County <br />Historical Society. <br />Come explore and wonder with ACHS as we tal(e <br />a very different lool( at history! Tickets are available in <br />advance at the History Center, 2135 Third Avenue North, <br />Anoka, or by calling 763-421-0600. The tours are lim- <br />ited to 24 people. Tickets are $6.00 for adults, $5.00 for <br />ACHS members (must show membership card), and $3.00 <br />for children.
