Mayor Gamec suggested restricting the hours of operation to 10:00 p.m., so that the courts would <br />be totally cleared by 10:30 p.m. at the latest. <br /> <br />Councilmember Beahen agreed with the 10:00 restriction, <br /> <br />Wayne Bidwell, Manager and minority owner of Holm's Super Bowl, stated that they have made <br />it clear that there can be no one on the volley ball courts past 10:30. He stated that the lights will <br />be set to go off at 10:30, no later. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt <br />Resolution #97-05-125 adopting Findings of Fact #0425 pertaining to Holm's Super Bowl <br />request for a conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Beyer, and Beahen. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Haas Steffen. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to amend the hours <br />of operation stating that all playing shall cease at 10:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen, and Zimmerman. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Haas Steffen. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to adopt Resolution <br />#97-05-126 approving the issuance of a conditional use permit for a seasonal outdoor <br />recreational facility, as amended, based upon Findings of Fact #0425 and declaring terms of <br />same. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen and Zimmerman. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberHaas Steffen. <br /> <br />Case #2: Adopt Proposed Towers Ordinance <br /> <br />Community Development Intern Skoog noted that Council had introduced an ordinance to <br />amend Chapter 9 of the City which would establish regulations for tower development and siting <br />and that ordinance is now being presented for formal adoption. He added that the City of Ham <br />Lake has recently adopted a towers ordinance which requires that all towers be built on city- <br />owned property or easement or road utility. If the request is to build on land that is not city- <br />owned, the city will try to acquire the property and it can be done using the eminent domain <br />procedure. By requiring that towers only be built on city-owned property, the city can regulate <br />where the towers are placed. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec commented on possible revenue for the City and felt this should be discussed <br />further. <br /> <br />City Council/May 13, 1997 <br /> Page 7 of 12 <br /> <br /> <br />
