As they look at the price of gaS it makes sense that local communities use local <br />resources, and that they share those resources. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy asked if the removal of the parking on the south end will impact the <br />overall assessment of the parking. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Frolik replied no, the parking was originally <br />planned at 52. The shared parking on the PSD block has been increased and there are still 52 <br />spaces available. As the facility' grows it is her understanding that the shared parking agreement <br />will allow additional parking for this facility; <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy asked if some of the parking will be eliminated when the road is put <br />through. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director indicated no more parking will be removed. The <br />facility will actually gain more opportunities for parking as the block develops and they grow in <br />the center of the block. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt asked if the front entrance on Rhinestone Street will change after the <br />expansion. <br /> <br />Mr. Fedors indicated the appearance would remain consistent to the front entry. The canopy will <br />extend all the way to the sidewalk and the entry image would not be changed. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt verified with the applicant that. they do not have any issues with the staff <br />recommendations included in the Staff Review Letter dated May 31, 2007. He questioned how <br />the site plan review requirements have been met in lieu of the current situation of there being no <br />review by the RTC Technical Advisory Committee. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Frolik replied it has been a great deal of time since <br />the Advisory Committee has been used. Thoruhg interdepartmental reviews, Staff is making sure <br />that site plans adhere to the Town Center guidelines. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt noted the Advisory Committee recommendation is not required by State law. <br />He questioned if staff is comfortable that by working within the current constraints they are not <br />leaving out any aspects of the review process. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Frolik replied staff IS comfortable with the <br />procedure. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy questioned if the Commission is comfortable with the procedure. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt stated he has no reason to believe otherwise. Staff has pointed it out that they <br />evaluated the code and looked at the constraints of the development agreement.
