Abstain: Commissioner Brauer. <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />Public Hearing - Request for an Amended Conditional Use Permit for <br />Armstrong Kennels; Case of Charles Delaney <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 8:31 p.m. in <br />order to call the public hearing to order. <br /> <br />Public Hearin2 <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the public hearing to order at 8:31 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Frolik stated Armstrong Kennels is located at 8404 <br />161st Avenue, just west of Armstrong Blvd. The property is zoned R-l Residential. A kennel <br />operation and associated residential buildings has been in existence on the property since 1926, <br />and is considered a lawful non-conforming use. The original CUP issued in 1990 allows for 4 <br />residential structures in association with the kennel operation. The terms of the CUP require that <br />any expansion of the kennels requires an amendment to the original permit. Ms. Frolik stated the <br />Delaneys wish to construct a new 1200-square- foot metal pole barn to be used for storage of <br /> <br />Planning Commission/ June 7, 2007 <br />Page 14 of 31 <br />
