Requirements: Employees in the following job classes have been issued the equipment listed below: Firefighters: Turnout Coat and Bunkers w/Suspenders, Helmet with Face Shield, Neck Protector, Hood, Boots, Spanner Belt, Gloves (NFPA approved), Flashlight, SCBA Mask, Grass Coat, Rescue Coverall, Wildland Fire Boots, ear protection. Available will be SCBA, eye protection, BBP compliant gloves, MNDOT compliant traffic vest. Police Officers: Uniform boots (BBP compliant), BP vest, MNDOT complianttraffic vest, reflective raincoat, weapon, eye protection, hearing protection. Public Works Staff: Substantial work boot, MNDOT compliant traffic vest, eye protection, hearing protection. Responsibilities. Firefighters: All issued PPE must be brought to training (when required) and to incident scenes and be kept in a condition as to be ready to use. Fire Chief Officers: At each station have available on vehicles SCBA, eye protection, BBP compliant gloves, MNDOT compliant traffic vests. Police Officers: All issued PPE must be available when on duty. Public Works Staff: As job functions require have and wear appropriate PPE. All Fire, Police and Public Works Staff: Provide services in a manner consistent with policies and training. Hearine: conservation The purpose of this policy is to ensure the safety/protection ofthe hearing for the employees of the City of Ramsey. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE's) is provided for all employees to use. The City of Ramsey uses a variety of different tools and machines with varying noise levels for each which may exceed OSHA's permissible limit. PPE's are required to be worn at all times when operating this equipment.
