<br />Wall Sign - Any sign which is affixed to a wall of any building. This definition <br />includes individual letter signs and signs on mansards, or awnings and banners permanently <br />attached to building facades. <br /> <br />Window Sign - A sign installed inside a window, or any sign placed within a <br />building for the purpose of being visible from the public right-of-way. This does not include <br />merchandise on display. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator - The person charged with the administration and <br />enforcement of this Section. <br /> <br />SECTION 3 DELETIONS: The Entirety of Section 9.20.25~ subdivision 7 shall <br />be deleted from City Code~ as replaced bv the changes proposed in. <br />AMENDMENTS hereto within this Ordinance. <br /> <br />SECTION 4 AMENDMENTS: The Following shall be replace the entirety of <br />Section 9.12 "Signs" in Chapter Nine of City Code <br /> <br />9.12 <br />9.12.03 <br /> <br />Signs <br />General Performance Standards for All Zoning Districts <br /> <br />Subdivision 1. Location. No sign shall be erected or temporarily placed within <br />any street or public right-of-way or upon any public easement, unless erected by a government <br />agency with the intent to increase the health, safety, or welfare of the community. <br /> <br />Subd.2. Illumination. External illumination for signs shall be so <br />constructed and maintained that the source of light is not visible. <br /> <br />Subd.3. Temporary Signs. Temporary signs are allowed for up to 6 weeks <br />per year, upon permitting, within any zoning district. Temporary signs are allowed in all zoning <br />districts, but must follow the regulations with regard to the respective zoning district. Portable <br />signs are allowed on a temporary basis on commercially or industrially zoned property. <br />Temporary signs are limited to 50 square feet in size, unless otherwise specified in this Section. <br /> <br />Subd. 4. Automatic, Changeable Copy Signs. Any sign, temporary or <br />permanent, that is defined by this Section as an automatic, changeable copy sign, is subject to the <br />following regulations: <br />a. Limited in size to 25 square feet. <br />b. Copy must not change more than 10 times per minute or every six <br />seconds. <br />c. No scrolling or flashing messages or lights are permitted, as defmed by <br />this Section. <br /> <br />73 <br /> <br />
