<br />Subd.2. Temporary Signs. Temporary signs are permitted in accordance <br />with Section 9.12.03, subdivision 3 <br /> <br />Subd. 3. Home Occupation Signs. Home Occupations Signs may be <br />permitted in accordance Vlrith Section 9.11.04 (Home Occupations) of this City Code. <br /> <br />9.12.05 <br />PUD) <br /> <br />Commercial Zoning Districts (B-1, B-2, H-I, commercial portions of MD- <br /> <br />a.Wall, Canopy or Marquee Sign. Total sign area may not exceed fifteen <br />percent (15%) of the front building facade. Businesses in multi-tenant <br />buildings shall be allowed the proportionate share of the total wall sign area. <br />The total wall signage permitted may be distributed on any other building <br />fa((ade. Sign height shall not exceed the top of the parapet wall or, if no <br />parapet wall, sign height shall not exceed the height of the eaves. A wall, <br />canopy or marquee sign may be located on the outermost wall of any <br />principal building but shall not project more than sixteen (16) inches from <br />the wall to which the sign is to be affixed. The gross surface area of a wall, <br />canopy or marquee sign may be increased by ten percent (10%) if such wall <br />SIgn: <br /> <br />1. Consists only of individual, outlined alphabetic, numeric <br />and/or symbolic characters without background except that provided <br />by the building surface to which the sign is to be affixed; and <br /> <br />2. Illumination, if any, is achieved through shielded <br />illumination, shielded silhouette lighting, or shielded spot lighting but <br />not any lighting where the light source is visible or exposed on the <br />face or sides of the characters. <br /> <br />b. Ground Sign. The gross surface area of a ground sign shall not exceed one <br />hundred (100) square feet for each exposed face nor exceed an aggregate <br />gross surface area of two hundred (200) square feet. <br /> <br />c. Banners, Pennants, or Flags. Banners, Pennants, or Flags shall conform to _ <br />the temporary sign regulations. Banners, pennants, or flags may be used as <br />permanent signage, but their use is limited to 50% of total signage permitted <br />for wall signage. Non-commercial speech flags are permitted in any zoning <br />district, but are limited to 25 feet in 'height. <br /> <br />d. Menu Boards. Menu board(s) for drive-up or walk-up lane(s) of a drive-in <br />business are allowed up to maximum of fifty (50) square feet of signage, and <br />are permitted only on one side of the board. <br /> <br />e. Signs in Parking Lots. Signs in parking lots are limited to one sign per <br />entrance and/or exit, limited to four square feet for each exposed face, and <br /> <br />75 <br /> <br />
