Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Holland, Jensen, Deemer <br />LaDue, Terry and Thorud. Voting no: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer, seconded by Commissioner Terry to accept Findings 11 <br />through 17, as presented. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Terry, Jensen, <br />Holland, LaDue, and Thorud. Voting no: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holland amended the Findings of Fact to include No. 18, stipulating a time limit <br />for the permit of two years. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue, seconded by Conmussioner Holland to approve the a~t <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, ¢orm-dssioners LaDue, Holland, Deemer, <br />lensen, Terry, and Thorud. Voting no: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer to change Condition No. 1 for the permit to expire in two years <br />rather than three years, so that once the digging begins, two years will be allowed to move the <br />dirt. There was no second, and Commissioner Deemer withdrew the motion. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Jensen to amend Condition No. 1 <br />for the permit to "...expire two years from the commencement of operations but the time period <br />from date of issuance through operations shall not exceed three years." <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Holland, Jensen, Deemer, <br />LaDue, Terry, and Thorud. Voting no: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer stated that he would like to see flag people at the intersection of County <br />Road 63 and Highway 47 to direct traffic when trucks are moving through the intersection. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that it is possible to direct traffic, but it would add to the City's <br />liability to enforce a requirement that is not under City jurisdiction but a responsibility of the <br />county and state. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer to amend Condition No. 4 to prohibit hauling on T.H. 47. <br />There was no second, and the motion failed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer suggested amending Condition No. 9 to require 200 feet of pavement for <br />access off County Road 63. <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden stated that in other permits the City has required applicants to sweep and <br />clean the roads of dirt and debris after they are used for hauling. <br /> <br />Planning Commission/February 4, 1997 <br /> Page 4 of 15 <br /> <br /> <br />
