Acting Chairperson Deemer noted that the roof looks gabled and state law requires roof access to <br />service mechanical equipment. He fi~rther stated that the fighting plan is for 250 sodium high pressure <br />lights which he believes does not meet City code. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holland stated that the staff review letter requires the developer to meet code <br />specifications. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner Terry to recommend City Council <br />approval of the site plan in the case of Julian Johnson, subject to: 1) the conditions specified in the <br />staff review letter dated April 30, 1997; 2) any outside storage shall be placed in an appropriate <br />screened area; 3) lighting fixtures on the exterior of the building shall be subject to approval by the <br />City Engineer. <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Deemer noted the limited space for plowing snow in the rear of the building. If <br />it is pushed against the retaining wall at the east end, it will be difficult to remove it. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that snow pushed onto the adjacent railroad property will not have <br />an impact but agreed that the developer will have to find a place to pile snow and remove it. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson Deemer, Commissioners Holland, Terry, Jensen, <br />and LaDue. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Bawden and Commissioner Thorud. <br /> <br />Case #8: <br /> <br />Request for Sketch Plan Approval of Business Park 95 4th Addition; Case of <br />City of Ramsey <br /> <br />City Engineer stated that the City is proposing to subdivide two large outlots that are part of the <br />Business Park 95 4th Addition. <br /> <br />Commissioner LaDue asked if a variance is needed for Lot 1. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that the plan will be corrected so as not to require a variance. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Holland to recommend City Council <br />approval of the Business Park 95 4th Addition sketch plan. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
