Ms. Frolik read into record the following letters of opposition: Alvin A. Havisto, 15151 Iguana, <br />Robert Hartman, 5475 - 151st Avenue NW; Dick Hartman, 5515 - 152 Avenue NW; and Gary <br />Solmonson, 55:20 - 152nd Avenue NW. Ms. Frolik read into record the following letters of approval: <br />David and Sharon Lindstrom, 7731 - 170th Avenue NW; Wayne and Mickey Adams, 5335 - 180th <br />Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden stated that the Planning Commission has been working on this Ordinance for <br />a year and a half. There have been many meetings and the Commission has heard the extremes. He <br />asked that the public consider this when addressing the Commission. <br /> <br />Motioned by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Terry to introduce into record <br />the letters read aloud by Ms. Frolik. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Holland, Jensen, <br />LaDue, Terry, and Thorud, Voting No: None. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Gary Solmonson, 5520 - 152nd Avenue NW, stated that Ramsey had a diverse group of residents and <br />there should be a different Code for the different areas such as the farming areas versus the residential <br />areas. Mr. Solmonson also addressed the enforcement issue and asserted the present Ordinance is <br />not being enforced. Mr. Solmonson added that a definition of a "classic car" and a "junk car" should <br />be made. <br /> <br />Marilyn Bergum, 5535 - 149th Lane NW, stated that she and another individual owned an acre of <br />land that could be divided into 2 to 3 lots, but they have chosen not to separate the land. She stated <br />that there was a motorhome and three boats on trailers on the property. Ms. Bergum stated that she <br />had moved to the property because she wanted the land, and a lifestyle conducive to the age of her <br />family and her ability to travel. Ms. Bergum stated that lawn maintenance involved personal tastes <br />and that those who moved out here years ago have already lost enough due to development. She <br />added that she was in opposition to the ordinance and would like to continue storing her equipment <br />without pavement or tar. <br /> <br />Dale Lentz, address unknown, stated that he was opposed to the proposal and felt that one should <br />be able to place what ever they please on their property, within reason. <br /> <br />Thomas B. Williams, 5180 - 157th Lane NW, stated his support for the proposed order. <br /> <br />Rich Warner, 6641 - 169th Lane, stated that installing conbit or gravel at his home would be less <br />attractive. He also stated that he drove a commercial vehicle for his job and this ordinance could <br />cause financial situations for residents regarding the vehicles necessary for their occupation.
