Case #3: <br /> <br />Request for Preliminary Plat Approval of Pondview; Case of good <br />Value Homes <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to table this case. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beyer, Peterson, Beahen and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />Request for Final Plat Approval of Green Addition; Case of Mr. Jim <br />Green <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that Mr. Jim Green is requesting f'mal plat approval of a minor <br />subdivision to replat his homestead parcel into five urban residential lots. All lots meet the <br />minimum area and dimensional requirements for urban residential lots. City staff and the Planning <br />Commission recommend final plat approval. The Park Commission is recommending a cash <br />contribution to satisfy park dedication requirements. She noted Mr. Green's presence. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to adopt Resolution <br />//96-01-028 granting final plat approval to Green Addition. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson and Beahen. Voting No: <br />Councilmembers Beyer and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Request for Final Plat Approval of Juskiewicz Addition; Case of Mr. <br />Edwin Juskiewicz <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik reported that Mr. Ed Juskiewicz is requesting final plat approval of a <br />minor subdivision to replat Lot 2, Block 1 and Lot 1, Block 2, Haubrich Addition into eight urban <br />residential lots, which includes the homestead. All the lots meet the minimum area and <br />dimensional requirements for urban residential lots. The Park Commission is recommending a <br />cash contribution to satisfy park dedication requirements and the Planning Commission and City <br />staff are recommending final plat approval. She stated that Terry Herman was present to represent <br />the luskiewicz's. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to adopt Resolution <br />g96-01-029 granting final plat approval to Juskiewicz Addition. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson and Beahen. Voting No: <br />Councilmembers Beyer and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Case #6: <br /> <br />Request for Site Plan Approval for an Expansion to Vance Brothers, <br />lilC. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that Vance Brothers, Inc., formerly Amsco, has applied for site <br />plan approval to construct an expansion to their facility at 14021 Azurite Street NW. The facility <br />manufactures and applies surface preparation materials for outdoor athletic courts. The expansion <br />includes the addition of 4,800 square feet to the existing building and construction of a 5,000 <br />square foot cold storage warehouse. The cold storage warehouse exceeds the 30 percent of <br />principal building restriction on accessory buildings. Staff supports waiving the 30 percent <br />restriction in order to keep all operations indoors. The proposed expansion meets requirements for <br />lot coverage, setbacks, lighting, landscaping, number of off-street parking areas, and waste <br />storage. With regard to pave and curbing, the site plan proposes to install bituminous and there is <br />a verbal commitment for curbing any bituminous from the front of the buildings to the street.
