Council Business Mayor Hardin called the regular portion of the City Council meeting back to order at 7:48 p.m. Mayor Hardin adjourned the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:48 p.m. in order to conduct the public hearing. Public Hearing, g96-09: Stanhope Terrace Addition Mayor Hardin called the public hearing to order at 7:48 p.m. Citizen Input None. Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to close the public hearing. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Beyer, Beahen and Peterson. Voting No: None. Public Hearine g96-I0: North Half of Sections 22 and 23 Unplatted Mayor Hardin called the public hearing to order at 7:49 p.m. Presentation City Engineer Jankowski explained that this is an unplatted area having relatively similar lot sizes. Citizen Input Amy Haugen, 7041 - 156th Avenue NW, Ramsey, stated their road was paved in 1989 and they are still paying off that assessment. Now this will be an additional $42.00 plus an assessment for drainage. She felt she was being "assessed to death". She inquired when the City will decide it should get taken out of the general taxes. She also inquired how often other cities are sealcoating their streets. Mr. Jankowski replied that other cities generally have the same schedule - f~ve to seven/eight years. Ms. Haugen thought that sounded rather often. She suggested that the amount of travel on the road should be a factor and that the roads should be looked at to see if they even need to be done.
