Mr. Delaney: It was the worst of all times this year. We talked to the Lions trying to get them to
resolve this somewhat.

Resident: If you let neighbors park cars there, you will have so many people running up and down
the street.

Mr. Delaney: Something has to be negotiated on that type of thing. How many cars can you park
on your land?

Resident: 150 and I still have room.

Chief Auspos: You have to have signs on each street for no parking.

Mr., Delaney: I would like to put a couple of big signs up - maybe even directional signs to
combat parking, etc. That's the City's problem and we will help.

Mr. Schroeder: We cannot restrict the use of private property for parking but we can restrict
parking on boulevards.

Chief Auspos: We will have to do a little tailoring of the ordinance and will deal with towing.

Resident: Talked about a graduation party he had where he got permission to have cars parked on
the boulevard.

Resident: Could it be written in the ordinance from a certain time frame like snow emergencies. If
so, it could be written in for the Game Fair.

Chief Auspos: It would have to be more broadly written and it could be designated for certain
times and certain streets.

Mr. Delaney: Parking is very difficult. The Lions Club makes money on it - making money is the
American way, but we do not want any neighbors mad.

Resident who parks cars on his property: I talked to my neighbors and they do not have any
objections.

Resident: people need to see the signs but the signs have to be enforced or it won't do any good
no matter what size they are.

Mr. Delaney: We do have the disabled people and kennel employees who park in the kennel area.

Resident: I am not against the business - just the parking.

Mr. Delaney: Maybe we need to work with the City to have the parking policed better.

Resident: I live on the comer and I do not get to go into my own driveway, however, a signal on
Armstrong will help. Can you send busses on more of a schedule - every one-half hour instead of
every five minutes?

Mr. Delaney: That will be difficult, but we will be doing some things differently. We do have our
boys go up and down and keep the neighborhood clean. We will do even better as far as busses
go.

A resident complained of some of the things people have done to the yards, etc.

Game Fair Neighborhood Meeting/March 28, 1996
Page 3 of 7
