Mr. Delaney: That's people, we wouldn't be able to have any control over that.

A letter was read from Mrs. McPherson who asked that the busses slow down.

Mr. Delaney: We have asked the drivers to be courteous and to also drive slowly. The only way
we can help is by knowing what's happening.

Residents expressed concern about loose dogs also.

Mr. Delaney: We will put up signs telling them we want good relations and to keep good control
they have to keep their dogs on a leash. This year we will have people with numbers on and if you
see someone doing something wrong, you can call and complain about that number. We want to
make it as nice as possible.

Resident: How about visible security.

Mr. Delaney: We will do some signage and we will go from there.

A resident asked Mr. Delaney to get together with Police Chief Auspos about how to get the police
there.

Chief Auspos: It is arranged through the City but maybe we could look at the Anoka Sheriff's
Reserve Unit.

Resident: A couple of visible uniforms make a big difference.

Resident: You do not want to let your children walk to their friends because of all the people.

Mr. Delaney: We are concerned too. Uniforms, police cars, all the visible security makes a
difference. We have to inform neighbors they cannot park people on the street and the boulevard
and charge for it. That's a violation plus it causes disharmony in the community. I did have one
complaint - one person said there was no sign that says how much it costs to park.

Mr. Thorud: What about routing people down to the guy who parks cars on his property and
when he's full, they can park in Central Park.

Someone replied that this would not work.

The resident who parks vehicles on his property stated that it's by word of mouth that people come
to him to park.

Another resident commented that people are cruising looking for parking spots.

Resident: We need enforcement about parking on the streets.

Suggestions were big signs that say absolutely no parking and having the police there to tag
violators from nine to five on Saturday and Sunday.

Mr. Schroeder: We will give Mr. Delaney a proposal and we will look at the signage issue for no
parking on the streets or boulevards. We will bring Chief Auspos' suggested ordinance changes to
City Council. We will let the neighborhood people know what's happening.

Mr. Thorud: There should be water facilities at Central Park for the dogs.

Game Fair Neighborhood Meeting/March 28, 1996
Page 4 of ?
