Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to authorize the <br />Mayor and City Administrator to enter into a purchase agreement to acquire these drainage utility <br />easements tit the rate of one dollar per squm'e foot plus incurred appraisal costs. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councihnember Peterson expressed thanks to the neighbors. This is a good <br />alternative - it shows if we work together, it comes out the best. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: CouncilmemberZimmerman. <br /> <br />Case #9: <br /> <br />Receive Bids and Award Contracts for the 1996 Street Maintenance <br />Program <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that this years street maintenance program includes 14 separate <br />projects which will all consist of crack filling followed by a chip sealcoating. The program will <br />cover 20 miles of City roadway. <br /> <br />Motion by Councihnen~ber Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to adopt Resolution <br />#96-06-148 receiving bids and awarding contract for Improvement Projects #96-01 through #96- <br />05 and #96-07 through #96-15 (1996 Street Maintenance Program - Crack Filling) to Daffinson <br />Asphalt Maintenance in tile amount of $34,167.60. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Beahen and Beyer. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: CouncihnemberZin~mem~an. <br /> <br />Case #10: <br /> <br />Introduce Ordinance to Amend Lighting Standards in the B-l, B-2, <br />B-3, BW and Industrial Districts <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that, as per the Planning Commission's direction, City staff <br />drafted an ordinance to duplicate the lighting standards in the R-3 Urban Residential District in the <br />B-l, B-2, B-3, BW and Industrial Districts. Ms. Frolik suggested it doesn't seem logical that <br />there would be lighting standards in tile R-3 Urban Residential District and not the other <br />commercial districts in tile City. It is possible that this language was erroneously omitted during <br />one of the recodifications. There was no objections expressed at the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to introduce the <br />ordinance to establish lighting standards ill tile B- 1, B-2, B-3, BW and Industrial Districts. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen, Peterson and Beyer. <br />Voting No: None.
